More piccies

Thanks for sending these in… you know who you are :-)

Photos!

Here are ALL the photos that I currently have from the trip, including those sent in (thanks!) – if you have any you’d like to see here on the website, please email them to rbarnes@york-road.kent.sch.uk

Home sweet home

Thanks to everyone for turning up so promptly and taking your little angels away!

We had a great week, the staff enjoyed themselves as much as the kids.

I shall add photos to the site over the coming days – if you have any great snaps you’d like to share on the website, email them to me at rbarnes@york-road.kent.sch.uk and I’ll put the best up for all to see!

Fri 16.40

IMPORTANT! When we arrive, the driver has requested that the children remain on the coach whilst all the suitcases are unloaded. This is for the children’s safety. We hope to be back at or just before 17.00. If possible, please don’t park on York Road!

Fri 16.20

ETA is in 37 minutes – just before 17.00

Fri 15.55

Still on course for arrival around 16.45.

Fri 14.55

We have crossed to the mainland safely and we’re on our way again. Lunch was eaten on the ferry. Google maps estimates 1 hour 50 minutes so our estimated time of arrival of 16.30 – 17.00 sounds a good bet currently!

Fri 13.00

We have left the site right on time. Miss Brett and Mrs Shead are doing their best air-hostess impressions by handing out the packed lunches on the coach for consumption on the ferry.

We had a soggy few minutes at first today when we vacated our cabins but by the time we’d eaten our last breakfast of the trip, the rain had stopped – groups 1 and 2 were especially grateful as they were off on their coastal walk! The other groups enjoyed circus skills, challenge course and survivor.

Keep checking this website for updates on our progress and even more frequent updates (with maps showing progress) over on the Twitter feed!

Thur 20.00

The disco is well under way. As promised, I would like to present the now traditional (well… Second year running) group shots! Plus a couple taken in the last few minutes here at the disco.

Thur 19.20

Still proving difficult to put photos on this website; there’s a few on the Twitter feed, however.

The children have just enjoyed their last dinner of the trip and are playing games on the activity field with one of our PGL group leaders, Jenny. Once the canteen has been transformed, we will be heading there for the disco. Sadly today’s downpour meant the beach couldn’t be set up to have the disco there, but I’m sure just as much fun will be had.

I shall try to get the traditional “group shot on the cliff top” and upload soon!
